- You can't deny this is the coolest looking mug warmer on the market. I
have a very large mug at work and this warmer's plate area was more than
enough surface for the bottom of my mug. After drinking half the
coffee, I placed it on the warmer for an hour; no change in temperature.
I drank a bit more and placed 1/4 of the coffee on the warmer and it
still did not warm the coffee. I've noticed my mug has a very slight
concave bottom, and so does all other mugs in the office. None of these
mugs worked with this warmer. I've stacked pennies on the warmer plate
to conduct the heat between plate and mug bottom. Still it did not warm
coffee, nor mug for that matter. It's a fun product but not hot enough
to warm a mug of coffee. I still like the design but feel I need to find
a solution that will work and be able to use this product as intended.
Given the copper pennies did conduct heat from the plate I would suggest
finding a copper mug. These are also known as Moscow Mule mugs. It
would be sad not to use this fun piece of art.
